Who we are
Professional teaching with real-world perspective
Numatrix is an independent GCSE Mathematics tuition provider based in Reading, dedicated to helping young people develop confidence, understanding and success in mathematics.
Founded by a team of experienced educators, Numatrix combines professional teaching expertise with real-world industry experience. Our teaching team includes a qualified teacher holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), with classroom teaching experience across secondary schools in Berkshire, Surrey and Hampshire, alongside experienced one-to-one and small-group tuition.
Both founding teachers have engineering backgrounds and professional industry experience. This allows us to show how mathematics is used beyond the classroom—in engineering, technology, finance and everyday problem-solving—while keeping each learner's GCSE goals at the centre of every lesson.

Why Numatrix was established
Numatrix was created with a simple but ambitious vision: to make high-quality GCSE Mathematics tuition accessible, affordable and inspiring for families across Reading.
We recognised that many students benefit from additional personalised support beyond the classroom. Small-group tuition gives learners time to revisit challenging topics, ask questions with confidence and receive the guidance needed to make sustained progress.
Our aim goes beyond examination results. We want students to become confident, resilient and independent learners who can apply mathematical thinking throughout education, work and everyday life.

Numatrix operates as an independent education provider and welcomes students from every school, background and community across Reading and the surrounding area.
